Editor’s Note: Although rare for an “Amelia Island revealed . . .” to feature a video, especially one that highlights a business, we have made an exception. Thomas Oliver, owner of Amelia Adventures is beginning his second year as a local business owner. Using a drone, this video was taken near his family’s home in Amelia City.
Before moving to Amelia Island, Thomas spent time in North Carolina, and Alaska filming and producing such shows as “Coast Guard Alaska” and serving as a wheel house producer for “Deadliest Catch.” His marketing company, Oliver Media, began in 2001.
Thomas and his wife Catherine, who is also involved in the business, have two daughters Amelia and Evelyn. As a third generation islander, Thomas has spent many years exploring area waterways with his father Tom Oliver who after graduating from FBHS in 1964, and attended the United States Naval Academy.
Would like to know who is the singer and who are the musicians in this video. Also, am interested to know who produced the music on the “Kayak Amelia” video.
Thanks!
Hey Bonnie,
The band is Lord Huron
I believe the artists are listed at the end of the video.
Wow!
Thomas, that was fabulous! You show us how beautiful our little island is! Love the music.
Loved it…what a beautiful video. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Thanks for your response, Thomas. Enjoyed the video immensely. Great work all around! Had I waited until the end of the video, I would have viewed the credits that included the name of the artist whose music is on the video. Saw that the music is from a group called Lord Huron and is their published song, “Ends of the Earth”. This music was also used in a Zales TV commercial, in a film, “A Walk in the Woods”and was in a Netflix Documentary film ”Unbranded”. Great choice for quality music accompanying the beautiful images! Sure hope the use of the music was negotiated and that the artist is receiving whatever is due.
