Empty Bowl 2015 a Barnabas event from Slices of Life Photostudio on Vimeo.

Editor’s Note: At Friday’s Barnabas Center Empty Bowls event, Helmut and Peggy took photos of the over 300 people who gathered at the Atlantic Avenue Recreation Center. They captured the true spirit of this worth while annual event. We thank the Albrechts for sharing their talents.

Helmut and his wife Peggy moved to Nassau County in 2009 to be closer to Peggy’s parents. The welcoming people of Amelia Island made them feel at home within a short time. Helmut is employed with Science First/STARLAB in Yulee and is an advocate for hands on science education. Peggy works in the historic downtown office of Edward Jones. They are active member of the First Presbyterian Church. Helmut volunteers for Rotary and Habitat and is on the Nassau County Economic Development Board.
