Editor’s Note:  We decided to focus this week’s Amelia Island revealed  on a group of volunteers who came together despite Saturday morning’s inclement weather, to help clean up our beaches for an International Coastal Clean Up.  The international clean up is one of the largest volunteer efforts in the world.  Volunteers included visitors participating in a National Miniature Golf Tournament at the Main Beach Putt Putt.

The event coordinated by Keep Nassau Beautiful also included volunteers from  Amelia Island Sea Turtle Watch, Wild Amelia, Fort Clinch, Surf Asylum, Beach Rentals and More, 8 Flags Jeep Club, Leave No Trace Amelia, Amelia Island Earth Keepers, Island Walkers and Putt Putt.

Over 130 individuals “walked the talk” on a windy rainy day.
