Over 250 people reserved space at the annual Amelia Island -Fernandina Beach-Yulee Chamber of Commerce dinner at the Omni Hotel Friday, January 10th. City and county officials attended, members mixed as Clik Simple took and handed out free photos, using local backdrops. (They also hire out photo booths, I was told.)
Don Hughes hosted the event, thanked Pam Brown and the 2013 board of directors and introduced Wynn Fendig and the 2014 board.
Also, the new managing director of the Omni Don Stamets was introduced. He mentioned that he had lived and worked here 13 years ago and jumped at the chance to return here. He is hoping to become very involved
with the Chamber and the community.
The evening ended on a positive note with the drawing of some great prizes, including a round trip ticket on Jet Blue.
