Excitement is mounting as the February 2 date approaches for the annual Boys & Girls Clubs Gala. The event at the Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island features the magical entertainment of Gary Goodman and, as usual, their reservations are sold out. But cancellations always occur, so be sure to call (904) 261-8666 if you wish your name added to the waiting list.
A fun opportunity for guests this year is a chance to win a mixed case of wine (value $400) by buying a Club member’s hand painted wine glass for $20. Don’t miss visiting the new Supporting the Arts table!
Those folks who can’t attend this time may still participate in the amazing Silent Auction. On January 22 the Silent Auction goes live online. It includes more than 75 items for bidding, ranging from great vacation get-aways to gourmet meals at local eateries to gift cards for fun shopping. Boys & Girls Clubs of Nassau County counts heavily on the proceeds from their annual Benefit Gala. The two local Clubs provide outstanding after-school programs to youngsters from age 6 through 18, for developing Character, Health, Fitness and Technology. Prospective members for either the Roberts Club in Fernandina Beach or the Miller Club in Nassauville may enroll at bgcnassau.org or by calling (904) 261-8666.
