The omicron variant appears to cause less severe symptoms in people under age 60 than Delta, but is 3-5 times more contagious overall. So that means more older people (and also younger people with other health problems) are getting Covid, being hospitalized, and dying than before. I am not sure why some people are OK with that. Maybe because they haven’t experienced a death in their own family yet. It’s a shame, we could have contained this virus a year ago with our effective vaccines and protocols.
We could have eliminated it completely by mid 2020 before vaccines were available had our health agencies not been fully complicit and corrupted by big pharma. Instead of encouraging early treatment, our health agencies were recommending “supportive care” meaning, go home, stay in bed and when you turn blue, come back to the hospital so we can put you on a ventilator. Doctors who actually treated patients using either or both IVM and HcQ along with a regimen of vitamins and other supplements were having very positive outcomes as early as April 2020 yet their letters to our health agencies went unanswered and were ignored. When Trump came out and stated, correctly, that HcQ could be a game changer, liberals and the media (I know, I repeat myself) went into hysterics making all kinds of false statements about an FDA approved drug that had been used safely for roughly 70 years. The same thing is being done with IVM now. IVM is one of the safest drugs in history with proven anti-viral and anti-inflammatory properties and it has been re-purposed for many off-label uses. That the FDA actively participated in a smear campaign against it is evidence of their corruption. It is those who screamed the loudest about not using safe and effective therapeutics for early treatment who are responsible for literally millions of people dying. We now know that the vaccines efficacy drops dramatically after a few months, that fully vaccinated individuals can still be infected and their viral load is similar, possibly even higher than the unvax’d so they can spread it just like anyone who is not vax’d. There is no one solution that is 100% effective and by insisting only on a very narrow “one size fits all” policy means that we will continue to fight this disease ineffectively. These are just 2 examples, out of who knows how many, but clearly show that when used as early treatment, these drugs are highly effective, and frankly multiple orders of magnitude safer than the vaccines.
I actually believe Omicron will spell the end of the pandemic. Very few are getting seriously ill and its transmissibility is off the charts. It will help create natural immunity to aid the vaxxed and non-vaxxed.
My daughter reported it had already spread through her neighborhood in Maryland like wildfire…..not one person was hospitalized. The 7 day average of deaths/day in the U.S. has stabilized between 1000-2000 since Sep 23rd (it is 1200 now).
Even the Biden administration is actively discussing a “pivot” from talking about cases (since they are skyrocketing out of control) to a discussion of “hospitalizations and deaths” .
