Brent Lemond candidate for Nassau County Board of Commissioners, District 3.

Brent Lemond, conservative Republican candidate for Nassau County Commission District 3, announced he has submitted the requisite number of verified voter petitions to qualify for the August 18th primary election. Lemond is the Director of Career and Adult Education for the Nassau County School District.

“We are grateful for the support received from so many Nassau County voters in supporting our effort to qualify by petition. Like many of our neighbors, we have all watched as some of our leaders made poor financial and land‐use decisions. These choices have enriched a few ‘good ol’ boys’ while leading to increased taxes and diminished quality of life for the rest of us. For Nassau County to reach its true potential, we must “Think Nassau!”, move past political cronyism, and elect leaders based on experience, education, and what they can bring to the county. I offer my candidacy to the voters to consider as we move forward in challenging times for us all.”

Lemond resides in the Yulee area with his wife, Brandy, and their three children, Robert (15), Elizabeth(12) and Benjamin (3). He earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Mercer University (2001), a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Florida (1992), and holds an Educational Leadership Certification from the Florida Department of Education. He has volunteered as the Workforce Development Chairman of the Nassau County Economic Development Board since 2012.

The official qualifying period in Nassau County will begin June 8 and conclude June 12. More information the campaign is available on Facebook.
