Symphony Bus Trips Available Again

Amelia Residents in Action for the Symphony for many seasons co-sponsored bus transportation to Jacksonville Symphony concerts. A change in sponsorship meant pausing the buses, but now ARIAS will begin sponsoring transportation.

The first bus trip will take concert and balletgoers to the Dec. 16 evening performances of Handel’s Messiah and the Nutcracker. Departure time is 6:00 p.m. from the Harris Teeter parking lot.

After that concertgoers can look forward to bus transportation for 2024 classical performances including:

  • January 5 for “Rhapsody in Blue” & Rachmaninoff
  • March 8 for Saint Saens’ “Organ Symphony”
  • May 17 for “Adelya Plays Lark Ascending”

Bus ticket prices are $35 per rider. ARIAS members will receive a $5 per rider rebate the night of the event. “While prices have increased ARIAS sincerely appreciates the generous contributions made in memory of our past president and treasurer, Jack Dickison, which have allowed us to resume the service,” said ARIAS President Sherilyn Van Orden.

To book a bus ticket for the Dec. 16 performances or any of the three 2024 performances listed above, go to www.ariasnassau.org. And while you’re visiting the ARIAS website, why not become a member?

ARIAS is a 501(c)(3) organization affiliated with the Jacksonville Symphony. The ARIAS mission is to create awareness of the symphony in Nassau County, encourage county residents to attend performances, and to enhance music education in Nassau County schools.
