Bartram Garden Club to hold ‘Welcome Back’ Meeting

The Bartram Garden Club is holding a Welcome Back Coffee and Tea at the GFWC Woman’s Club of Fernandina Beach, 201 Jean Lafitte Blvd., on Thurs., September 14. We invite the community to Come, Meet Your Island, and learn how to preserve what makes Amelia Island so beautiful and unique – our tree canopy.

The program will be a presentation of the Amelia Tree Conservancy’s video, “Living in Our Maritime Forest.” Guest speakers Arthur and Diana Herman, members of the ATC Board, will present the video and facilitate a discussion of coastal plantings. The program begins at 10:30 a.m. following a welcome reception at 10 a.m. with a call to order at 10:15 a.m.

The Bartram Garden Club is affiliated with the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs, Inc. and the National Garden Clubs, Inc. As part of a regional, state, and national network of federated garden clubs, the Bartram Garden Club offers many avenues for community service and education. The Club meets from September to May, usually on the second Thursday of the month, at the GFWC Woman’s Club of Fernandina Beach. For more information visit bartramgardenclub.org.
