Fernandina Beach City Commission Candidates
to appear at
Virtual Fernandina Observer Candidate Forum
On September 24, seven candidates vying for a seat on the Fernandina Beach City Commission will gather at City Hall for the “Fernandina Observer Virtual Candidate Forum.” With COVID-19 greatly limiting the seating capacity in the City Commission Chambers, our virtual event will take place via live-streaming on the City of Fernandina Beach Website, and on Comcast Channel #264 beginning at 7:00 p.m. We will post a link for viewing at your convenience on Friday morning.
For the 8th year, Larry Myers, former city manager, Orange Park Town manager, the Ware County Manager and Nassau County Administrator, as well as, a legislative aide to the Florida House of Representatives will moderate the forum.
We have prepared questions which focus on a wide range of topics. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, our format has changed. Recently, candidates were given a list of 18 possible questions. During the candidate forum a group of questions, selected randomly, will be directed to each candidate group.
After the forum, if viewers are interested in hearing directly from a candidate on a particular topic not covered, please email the candidate (s) at the following addresses:
