Cotton Eyed 8 CroppedThis weekend’s beautiful weather was perfect for the Wild Amelia Festival, playing at the new Pirate’s Playground, swimming at Main Beach and shopping at the Fernandina downtown farmer’s market. All of which this reporter did, including a trip to outer space and back in the traveling Spacelab with 10 adults and 6 kids, among many who entered the fun.

Cotton Eyed JoesAfterwards, I headed home and was amazed to see a new sign where Cotton Eyed Joe’s used to be.

Apparently it’s time for a new business just off the island. Details to follow.
