The fair association of the Northeast Florida Fair in Callahan hosted a ‘Feed the Hungry Monday’ food drive in support of the Barnabas Food Pantry on Oct. 15th. Members of Rivers Edge Church of Northeast Florida volunteered at this event by collecting canned and nonperishable food items from fair-goers. Three cans per person permitted free access to the fair. In total, the food drive collected 3,837 pounds of donations from people attending the fair.

Rivers Edge Church is a non-denominational, evangelical fellowship of diverse believers serving western Nassau County in Northeast Florida.

Barnabas Center operates the largest food pantry in east Nassau County, providing emergency food to individuals and families who often do not know from where their next meal will come. Through generous donations, we have been able to expand our programs to include fresh and frozen foods, nutritional education, and a teaching kitchen.
