During September 2016, the city surveyed 294 permits, compared with 243 surveyed during September 2015. This activity brought the city $178,947 in fees. Permits were issued for 14 new buildings; all but one were residential.
Building permits for the first 9 months of 2016 are running ahead of last year, 2,691 to 2,257. According to the Building Department September 2016 Report, the actual revenue received in September 2016 is 78 % over the budgeted projections.
