Scholarship opportunity available for Nassau County High School students

scholarships-1024x703Al Watson, President of the US Constitution Scholarship Foundation announced that the University of US, a tuition free out of school program for Nassau County high school students, has begun accepting applications for its first semester. The focus of the program is to help participating students get a better understanding of American Heritage, our Founding Fathers, and the U.S. Constitution.

Juniors and Seniors who complete the curriculum, maintain a “B” average in their regular school program, and pass a final exam will receive a CERTIFCATE OF GRADUATION and be eligible to win one of two $5000 scholarships based on an essay covering the
material presented. The first class will be held from 4:30-6:00 PM on January 10 at the FSCJ Nassau Center. Three other sessions will also be held in February, March, and April on dates to be announced. While any high school student is eligible to attend, space is limited and only Juniors/Seniors are eligible for a scholarship.

Student who wish to apply should contact their Social Studies teacher, or go to the front office of their school. Students who are not enrolled in a public school may request an application from [email protected].
