Rear Admiral Babette “Bette” Bolivar

Rear Admiral Babette “Bette” Bolivar will be the keynote speaker at the fourth annual Navy SEAL Foundation Patriot Day Luncheon on Monday, September 11, 2017. Lunch will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Fernandina Beach Golf Club, 2800 Bill Melton Road in Fernandina Beach.

Admiral Bolivar is a Naval Academy graduate who wears the Diving Officer insignia as a special operations officer with emphasis on explosive ordnance disposal/diving and salvage. She is Commander, Navy Region Southwest, headquartered aboard Naval Station Mayport. She has served in a variety of commands associated with those two specialties, including Officer in Charge of the Counter Radio-Controlled IED Electronic Warfare Program in Afghanistan as part of Operation Enduring Freedom. She was a finalist for the Vice Admiral James Stockdale Leadership Award and has been inducted into the Women Divers Hall of Fame.

The luncheon will also feature a raffle for a variety of merchandise from local merchants, as well as door prizes. Music will be provided by an ensemble from Fernandina Beach High School.

All of the proceeds from the luncheon will go to the Navy SEAL Foundation. This 501(c)3 organization was created in 2000 with the mission of providing sustained support for our Naval Special Warfare community, as well as their families. It focuses on comprehensive programs that will insure the Naval Special Warfare community receives a broad spectrum of support in times of need.
