Rayonier A.M.’s open house held February 12, 2016, brought hundreds of interested residents, and former employees to learn about the potential partnership with LignoTech Florida. Visitors were given the opportunity to question and learn from experts in the field, and to tour Rayonier A.M.’s cellulose specialties products plant.
Pretty good turnout. I enjoyed the tour. I hope everyone got their questions and concerns answered satisfactorily.
Congratulations to Rayonier AM and Borregaard for hosting this event. I appreciated the openness and transparency that they showed, sharing detailed information of their current and proposed chemical operations. Acts like this build trust with the community and allow citizens to get information directly form the source, helping them to formulate fact-based decisions and not to rely and rumors and hearsay.
Time to trust a bit, and look upward. We all need to think about integrating modern technology for our mutual benefit (those that live and work here) – and take responsible, reasonable risks for our future generation. Nothing in life is certain. This is a good bet.
