During June 2017, the city surveyed 367 permits, an increase of 84 over June 2016. This brought the city $239,462 in fees. Permits were issued for 15 new residential buildings. Nine demolition permits were issued. General building permits (62), mechanical (74), tree removal/excavation (53), and roofing (45) accounted for the highest number by category.
The year-to-date permit total is 2,031: 224 more than for the comparable period last year with new commercial and residential construction permits up 20 from 72 at this time in 2016.
