Nassau County Deputies arrest housekeeper for theft

On September 24, 2013, an individual reported a theft from her residence on Marsh Hawk Road in Fernandina Beach to the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office.  Sometime between September 15 and September 24th someone removed a sterling silver antique coffee pot, an antique cream pitcher, 14 five piece sterling place settings, a meat fork, gravy ladle, 21 silver spoons, silver serving trays and bowls valued at $12,950.00.

On September 18th and 19th several items matching the description of the stolen objects were pawned to the Precious Metals Group in Yulee, Florida.  After an investigation by NCSO Deputies into the theft, the pawned items and interviewing individuals who had access to the residence during this time, a housekeeper, Marjorie Lynn Bowen, 41, from St. Marys, Georgia admitted to stealing the items, as well as taking some jewelry and pawning them.  She was arrested for Grand Theft, Dealing in Stolen Property, and False Verification of Ownership of Pawned Items.
