NCCOA Hosts “Caregiver Connection,” an Evening of Support and Education for Caregivers
Nassau County Council on Aging (NCCOA) and the Caregivers Support Group is hosting a FREE event for caregivers (past, present and future) on Monday, March 16, from 6-8 p.m., at the Fernandina Beach Life Center, 1901 Island Walk Way. “Caregiver Connection 2020” will bring caregivers together for support and education, as well as feature two local speakers:
- J. Russell Stackhouse, M.D., Board Certified Cataract and Refractive Surgeon –
“The Care of Aging Eyes” - Barbara Bruce, M.S., Aging Well Facilitator – “The Power of Positive Thinking”
We will also play a fun and special game designed to reinforce everyone’s knowledge of caregiving in which prizes from local businesses will be awarded to all participants.
The event is free; however, registration is required by calling NCCOA at 904-261-0701 by Thursday, March 12.
