Keep Nassau Beautiful and Nassau County team up for hazardous waste collection event in Callahan

Keep Nassau Beautiful and Nassau County Solid Waste Management will hold a household hazardous waste collection event for residents on March 30 from 8:30am to noon. County residents are encouraged to bring aerosol cans, batteries, used cooking oil, computers, corrosives, electronics, fertilizers, fluorescent bulbs, gasoline, cleaners, insecticides, lubricants, oil filters, paint/paint thinners, solvents, pesticides, pool chemicals, propane tanks and televisions to the Nassau County Convenience Recycle Center at 46026 Landfill Road in Callahan for disposal. Collection is free of charge for residents. A non-perishable canned food drive for Barnabas Food Pantry is also being supported during the event.
