The Fernandina Observer welcomes the following businesses newly licensed to operate in our city last month. New local businesses appear below.
During July 2016, the city surveyed 251 permits, compared with 276 surveyed during July 2015. This activity brought the city $220,325 in fees. Permits were issued for 8 new buildings, all residential. In July 2015, 14 permits were issued for new residential buildings.
Building permits for the first 7 months of 2016 are running ahead of last year, 2.059 to 1,781.
