If you have not yet done this, now is the time to check your computer for malware which could have taken over your computer without your knowing it as long as a year ago.  The FBI claims that there are about 277,000 computers affected worldwide, down from 360,000 in April.  The estimate is that there are probably 64,000 computers still infected in the United States, despite lots of warnings and cautions posted by internet service providers such as Comcast as well as popular sites like Google and Facebook.

If you are one of the unlucky ones, you will lose internet services this coming Monday, July 9, 2012.  The FBI has brought in a group to assist users in determining if their computers are infected:  http://www.dcwg.org.  This site will allow you to run a quick, free check to see if your computer is infected.  A couple of minutes today might save you lots of heartburn on Monday!

Editor’s Note:  Before posting a warning concerning computers, we wish to assure our readers that we have thoroughly checked out this concern and it is a legitimate one.  The test is very simple and does not require any downloads.  We wish to share it with our readers.
