The Institute for Enterprise, Inc (I4E) is pleased to announce the 2017 recipient of their Annual Scholarship Award is Julius “Ty” Herring of Fernandina Beach High School. The I4E scholarship provides an award of $2000 toward the financial cost of his education in pursuing an entrepreneurial degree at any fully accredited college, university, learning institution, or approved vocational/technical school. Ty plans to attend Samford University in Birmingham, AL. where he will study sports medicine and play football. His goal is to eventually open his own business focusing on guiding people toward a healthier life style through good nutrition and exercise.

Last year’s winner, Palmer Alvarez, is completing his freshman year at the University of Florida as he pursues his educational goal towards becoming an independent entrepreneur in the sports agency business.

The Institute for Enterprise, Inc. is a public 501(c)(3) charity founded in 2014 by Douglas M Newton and John Campbell Elwell to promote the growth of entrepreneurship by aiding young people accomplish their educational, business, and economic goals in a free market environment.
