FDOT Media Release

Jacksonville –   Motorists can expect a single, outside travel lane closure on Interstate 95 southbound near the Duval/Nassau County line between mile marker 370.5 and 371.5 Tuesday, June 5 through Friday, June 8, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., depending on weather and unforeseen circumstances. The single lane closure is for installation of bridge mounted conduit (which carries fiber optic cables for the new CCTV cameras and overhead dynamic message signs) on the west side of the bridge.

The 17-mile ITS Freeway Management project began in November 2017 with completion anticipated in spring 2019, depending on weather and unforeseen delays.

FDOT hired SICE as the contractor to complete this project for $4.5 million.
