Girl Scouts and Nassau County Volunteer Center 18th Annual Peanut Butter & Jelly Food Drive Serves Multiple Agencies

The Nassau County Volunteer Center and the Girl Scouts of Nassau County recently concluded their 18th annual Peanut Butter and Jelly Drive. The drive, which ran from Monday, September 19th, and culminated on Thursday, October 20th, was held in coordination with National Make a Difference Day.

The Girls Scouts collected peanut butter and jelly at 11 sites throughout Nassau County to earn their Make A Difference patch, collecting 5,235 ounces of peanut butter and 3,071 ounces of jelly to be distributed by the Nassau County Volunteer Center to NassauCounty Head Start Centers, the Council on Aging, Salvation Army Hope House, and the Barnabas Center. Participating troops included Troops 269, 1069, 270, 2040, and 660.
