Front Porch Beaders recently visited Habitat for Humanity’s latest project in Fernandina Beach to present a donation check of $2500. The volunteers, who make beaded jewelry to sell for charity, donned hard hats for a tour of the site.
Since 2018, when Front Porch Beads started making and selling jewelry, the group has raised $29,000 to benefit local charities. 100% of the proceeds from their sales is donated. (The materials are sourced separately.)

Sasha Wilson (pictured here) is looking forward to becoming a homeowner as soon as this project is complete. He welcomed the group into his house and showed them around. Habitat homeowners like Sasha invest hundreds of hours of their own labor working alongside volunteers, and then have the opportunity to buy the houses that Habitat builds and renovates.
