Although Advanced Disposal Services began with a late start on Monday due to Beryl’s impact, garbage pickup was on schedule today. Only four holidays are omitted from regular trash pickup and Memorial Day is not one of them.
Thomas Myron, General Manager of Advanced Disposal Services, indicated normal garbage pickup schedules will continue throughout the week. Debris cleanup is also scheduled although patience is in order while crews work with city and emergency services personnel to arrange cleanup tons of debris left behind from tropical storm Beryl.
Future information regarding debris pick up will soon be posted on the City of Fernandina Beach website to keep citizens informed.
