In response to Fernandina Beach City Manager Dale Martin’s article, some readers have asked for more specifics on just what can be recycled in the city. The City of Fernandina Beach contracts its sanitation services with Advanced Disposal for the community’s residential/commercial garbage, recycling, and yard waste pick-up.
According to the city’s website, the following materials may be recycled by placing them inside the green recycling containers for curbside pick up or by taking them to the city recycling center south of the City Marina:
