For the third consecutive year, the Fernandina Observer will sponsor a candidate forum for candidates for the Fernandina Beach City Commission. Larry Myers, former legislative aide to now Senator Aaron Bean will serve as moderator.
The forum will be held Thursday, October 16 at 7:00 p.m. in the City Commission Chambers located at the corner of North 2nd and Ash Streets.
As in the past, we ask our readers to submit questions for the candidates. Please send your suggestions to [email protected] We look for questions that will generate interesting discussions, that are fair, and do not target particulate candidates.
The forum will be available for viewing the night of the forum and throughout the upcoming weeks through live streaming from the City of Fernandina Beach website. According to City Clerk Carolyn Best, Comcast will no longer broadcast commission meetings or the candidate forum.
