FDOT alerts motorists to ramp and lane closures near Jacksonville Zoo

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Ramps and lanes at the I-95 and Main Street (U.S. 17) at Zoo Parkway (State Road 105) interchanges will be closed Monday, February 7 through Thursday, February 10, from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting. The overnight closures are necessary to facilitate construction related to the Zoo Parkway resurfacing and improvement project.

Monday, February 7: The Zoo Parkway eastbound ramp to Main Street, and Parker Avenue from Heckscher Drive to Zoo Parkway, will close at 7 p.m. and reopen by 6 a.m. Tuesday. Traffic will detour via Heckscher Drive. (Closures and detour shown in Map 1 below.)

Tuesday, February 8: A single lane of the I-95 northbound ramp to eastbound Zoo Parkway will close at 7 p.m. and reopen by 6 a.m. Wednesday. (Lane closure shown in Map 2 below.)

Wednesday, February 9: The ramp from Main Street to Zoo Parkway will close at 7 p.m. and reopen by 6 a.m. Thursday. Northbound Main Street traffic will detour via Gun Club Road and Parker Avenue. Southbound Main Street traffic will detour via Heckscher Drive. In addition, a single lane of the I-95 southbound ramp from Zoo Parkway will be closed overnight. (Closures and detour shown in Map 3 below.)

Thursday, February 10: Lanes will be reduced to one lane in each direction on Broward Road at the I-95 southbound ramp from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Flaggers will be in place to direct traffic. (Closure shown in Map 4 below.)

Digital message boards and signs will be in place to direct drivers through the respective detours.
