Drug operation “Behind the Tracks” nabs 6 repeat offenders from O’Neil/Scott Road area

During the month of June 2021, the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office received numerous complaints about several drug houses being operated off of Oneil-Scott Road Fernandina Beach.

The Nassau County Narcotics Unit, which consist of deputies from the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office and officers from Fernandina Beach Police Department, began formulating a plan of action to initiate a narcotics investigation in that area based off the information received from complaints.  During the investigation detectives were able to develop sale of cocaine charges on several narcotic suppliers from Oneil-Scott Road.

On September 15, 2021, the Nassau County Narcotics Unit, along with members from the Florida Highway Patrol, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, NCSO and FBPD conducted a narcotics operation that consisted of locating and arresting several suspects with active arrest warrants in the Oneil-Scott Road  area.  During the operation six suspects were arrested for charges involving both sales and possession of cocaine.

Arrested were: [None of these individuals were residents of the City of Fernandina Beach.]

Marcus Laquan Jones, 41, from Fernandina Beach, Possession of Cocaine, Sale of Cocaine (19 prior arrests for various charges)

Terrence Renard Johnson, 48, from Fernandina Beach, Sale of Cocaine (4 prior arrests for various charges)

Vincent Joseph Jones, 70, Fernandina Beach, Sale of Cocaine (27 prior arrests for various charges)

Nason Vincent Jones, 32, Fernandina Beach, Sale of Cocaine (21 prior arrests for various charges)

Joshua Ahman Malachi Jones, 23, Fernandina Beach, Possession of Cocaine (31 prior arrests for various charges)

Ty’Lek Latroy Sharper, 18, Fernandina Beach, Sale of Cocaine (14 prior arrests for various charges)

Well, obviously arresting them isn’t a deterrent.

We should defund the Police for arresting them so many times…

We all know that they are good men and boys….

They were just peacefully protesting drug free life….
