City of Fernandina Beach City Manager Dale Martin has selected Andre Desilet to be the City’s new Stormwater Manager. Mr. Desilet will be responsible for implementing the recommendations included in the Stormwater Master Plan recently presented to the City. His professionalism and longstanding relationships with area residents, City and County staff, and other area agencies such as the St. Johns River Water Management District will serve the community well. With several other projects forthcoming, Mr. Desilet’s construction management experience will also be a significant benefit.

Originally from Tallahassee, FL, Mr. Desilet has lived and worked (most recently for Gillette & Associates) in Fernandina Beach for seventeen years. He graduated from the University of Florida in 2000 with a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering and received his Professional Engineer’s license in 2004.

Mr. Desilet has also served as a volunteer member of the City Code Enforcement and Appeals Board for over fourteen years, but he will be relinquishing his seat now that he has become a City employee.

His wife, Stephanie, works at Baptist Nassau as a Speech Language Pathologist and they have two daughters, ages 6 and 8. In Mr. Desilet’s spare time, he’s a fitness enthusiast who enjoys staying active.

City staff and officials welcome Mr. Desilet as the newest member of the City’s senior management team.
