Champagne Tasting for the Animals . . .

Chard 3Saturday was cool, but sunny, for the opening of the Champagne Tasting at 3036 South Fletcher. IL Paradiso was originally built as a bed and breakfast.  Owners Paul Krom and Dan Ward transformed the property, adding their own finishing touches and reconstructed features to this wonderful property.

They had a grand opening and tour of this amazing home with 9 bedrooms, a gym, 2 kitchens, a gameroom, and a grassy rooftop feature where close to 150 guests celebrated with champagne and heavy hors-d’oeuvres- all for the benefit of the Nassau Humane Society.  The champagne purveyors were set up by Steve and Donna Raszkin of Steve’s Wines at 5174 First Coast Highway.

People gathered all throughout the house to chat and enjoy the music, champagne and beautiful ocean views. The evening was capped off with a special appearance by three charming dogs, ready to be adopted.  All in all, it was a wonderful evening for all who attended.

Paul and Dan presented a check in the amount of $5,000 to the Nassau Humane Society on Monday at Regions Bank.  This amount was matched by the Chardonnay Society, making a grand total of $10,000 for this worthy cause.  And an added benefit; two dogs were adopted!
