CBC National Bank, headquartered in Fernandina Beach and with branches in Fernandina Beach, Beaufort and Port Royal, S.C., today announced that its Fernandina Beach branch has teamed up with the Nassau County Volunteer Center and local small business retailer Go Fish Clothing & Jewelry Company to offer a unique “Giving Tree” program to assist struggling local families this Christmas season.

CBC National Bank invites its customers and anyone in the community to donate appropriate gifts at its branch in Fernandina Beach (at 1891 S. 14th Street). The branch will have Christmas trees containing tags on which the requested gifts are listed. The collected gifts will be delivered by the Bank to families in need in the Nassau County community.

What makes CBC National Bank’s “Giving Tree” program unique is that it “gives back” to those who give. Everyone purchasing a gift for a family in need will receive a handmade ornament from Go Fish Clothing & Jewelry as a thank you for their generosity.

“We couldn’t be happier to participate in such a meaningful program this holiday season,” said Carol Cason, vice president and branch manager of CBC National Bank. “Nassau County Volunteer Center does wonderful work in ensuring that families in need are provided appropriate Christmas gifts so that everyone in our communities can celebrate this holiday season. Most of those who give this time of year do so selflessly, and expecting nothing in return. That’s why we are so pleased to work with local vendor Go Fish Clothing & Jewelry to give a little something back in return – in the best spirit of Christmas.”
