The Amelia Island Williams House Bed & Breakfast at 103 S. Ninth St. in Fernandina Beach has been awarded the Curb Appeal Award by Fernandina Beach Main Street for the first quarter of 2024. This honor recognizes the property’s commitment to enhancing its aesthetic appeal and serving as a model for community pride and excellence.

Since May 2022, the Amelia Island Williams House has embarked on a transformative journey to elevate its curb appeal. This journey, culminating in the award, has seen the complete overhaul of the property’s landscaping under the guidance of Nick Zimmer of Bluebird Growers. The result is a stunning fusion of history, beauty, and sustainability.

“We are thrilled to receive the Curb Appeal Award for the first quarter of 2024,” said Veronica Byrnes, owner of the Amelia Island Williams House. “It’s a testament to our dedication to maintaining our property as a beacon of excellence in our community.”

The Curb Appeal Award program, established in 2023 by Fernandina Beach Main Street to celebrate properties that uphold the highest standards of community pride, considers nominations from the public year-round. Properties are evaluated based on various criteria, including general upkeep, landscape design, facade improvement, signage, and lighting. Each quarter, one commercial property is selected for the award.
