Last week the regional office of the National Park Service headquarters in Atlanta, selected Lang Seafood of St. Marys to continue to operate the ferry concession from St. Marys, Georgia to Cumberland Island National Seashore. Kevin McCarthy with Amelia River Cruises along with a business man from St. Simons Island, Georgia also submitted a bid for the ferry service concession.
Amelia River Cruises received a 2015 Certificate of Excellence rating from TripAdvisor for outstanding customer reviews. McCarthy’s plan was to bring the same excellent customer service to the ferry concession in St. Marys along with adding other cruises on the St.Marys River.
