Editor’s Note: Two days after Hurricane Irma’s visit to our beautiful island, the Reverend Doctor Wain Wesberry, minister of the First Presbyterian Church in Fernandina Beach, captured a beautiful sunset. A moment such as this is the reason islanders contend with the occasional disruptions caused by hurricanes.
Today is a special day for Wain as he celebrates his fifth year of ministry in Fernandina Beach. Wain’s love of community is evident through his involvement with Boy Scout Troop #89 serving as scout master, his performance in “On Broadway,” a benefit for Communities in Schools, and his involvement with the East Nassau Ministerial Association.
