Editor’s Note: In early Spring of 1993 Sherry found herself driving from Virginia to Fernandina Beach to visit a friend and former neighbor. Two months later, she “landed an island beach flat.” In 1998, Sherry opened a downtown business where for twenty years she has engaged many colorful characters and discovered a treasure chest of friends including the four legged. Realizing her life time creative bliss in photography, she currently does freelance work and is a contributing photographer for The Islander Magazine.
