Editor’s Note: Gail Pfoh spent a great deal of time on Amelia Island for both business and pleasure for 17 years. Three years ago she, her husband and dog were able to make the move to live here full time. The natural beauty of the island, especially the birds, sparked a renewed interest in photography for her.
She is a self-taught photographer with a special interest in Bald Eagles and other raptors. Gail is a volunteer for the Florida Audubon Bald Eagle watch program. Spending a great deal of time in the field brings opportunities to photograph endangered and threatened birds which are her passion.
Her photographs have appeared in Equus magazine, The Cecil Whig and the News Leader.
