The 3rd Annual Murder Mystery Dinner is right around the corner setting the stage for the 17th Annual Amelia Island Book Festival (AIBF), benefiting literacy for Nassau County students. Join us for a delicious, delightful and dangerous evening 6:15 pm on Fri., Oct. 20, 2017, at The Golf Club of Amelia Island. You will be treated to a performance of “Any Body for Tea?” – a funny, fast-paced comedy mystery thriller, directed by Kate Hart and written by C.B. Gilford, that will have you in stitches.

The Book Festival is proud to announce its guest Author D.A. Field. Field is an area novelist whose inaugural literary fiction thriller – Blood Memory Society – has earned widespread praise in advance of its recent launch. The novel is based on the premise of “inherited memory,” i.e., memories are not limited to your own life, but extend back in time through your ancestral lineage. Field weaves a finely tailored strand of heart-stopping prose as we follow his protagonist, Dr. Will Dunbar, from the Bahamas to Washington, D.C., and through the Florida Keys, Atlanta, Mississippi, New Orleans and Malibu. Throughout his journey, Dunbar finds himself in the crosshairs of national and international secrets, intrigue and conspiracy.

Steve Berry, #1 International and New York Times Bestselling Author, and Festival Honorary Chairman says of Blood Memory Society – “A highly imaginative and richly unique story. My only regret is I didn’t think of it first.”

Early reviews also earned Field a 5-star rating from Readers’ Favorite and Bestsellers World, A doctor by day, Field has a successful periodontics and implant dentistry practice in Jacksonville Beach, FL.

“We are so honored and grateful for Dr. Field’s support and participation,” says Joelle Crahay, event chairperson.

Murder Mystery Dinner Tickets are $100 per person, which includes a three-course gourmet dinner, show, mystery drink and dessert. Prizes and loads of laughter guaranteed. Cocktails start at 6:15 p.m.; dinner and show begin at 7:15 p.m.
