900 bicyclists expected Sunday for Endless Summer Watermelon Ride

Jim Smith, Ride Director for the Endless Summer Watermelon Ride announced
today over 900 bicyclists are expected for the Sunday, September 13 one-day
cycling event. Starting from the Atlantic Recreation Center at 7:30 AM,
cyclists will ride along the ocean on scenic Amelia Island through historic,
tree lined Fernandina Beach and south to the beautiful Talbot Island State
Parks and the St. John’s River. Jim offered that “Amelia Island offers some
of the most attractive bicycling in the Southeast. We are working closely
with local law enforcement to assure a safe and enjoyable ride.” For
