Fernandina Observer – One Month Review

What an incredible first month for the Fernandina Observer! We are growing our readership base and thousands of individuals are discovering what the Fernandina Observer has to offer; news that is important while it is still news!

All of our volunteer writers who contributed over the last month, Suanne Thamm, Gerry Clare, Len Kreger, John Carr, appreciate the encouragement they have received and we thank them for their support.

We especially wish to thank our Reporter-News Analyst Suanne Z. Thamm for her insightful, well written articles. Suanne’s write up on “The Little Blue House,” a zoning issue brought before the city commission, clearly conveyed the complexities of this South 8th Street zoning situation. In addition, her outstanding report/profile on “The Commission’s Rocket Man – Tim Poynter,” received rave reviews and generated interesting comments.

As far as the technical issues experienced by some Internet Explorer browser users, it seems those issues are resolved. Although we can’t help those with very outdated Internet Explorer browsers, an alternative fix is to either update your browser or use Mozilla, or Chrome. E-mail subscribers will be alerted to new posts within the next few weeks. We thank you for your bearing with us as we resolve these issues.

As stated in our opening blog, “Encouraging others to work with us will be key to our success.” We welcome writers who wish to inform and educate our readership.  If you have technical skills, or if photography is your interest, we welcome you and your talents.

Thank you for joining us, for helping us grow, and for helping us deliver important local news and opinion impacting the city of Fernandina Beach.

We are committed, and we will be different!
