Nassau County Council on Aging (NCCOA), which operates NassauTRANSIT, will re-launch the Island Hopper public transportation service on Saturdays – anywhere and everywhere on Amelia Island – starting Saturday, October 2. Service will be offered Saturdays from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon and from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
For Saturday service only, contact the Island Hopper operator (the “Hopperator”) at 904-832-1218, for on-demand travel from anywhere on the island to anywhere on the island. The fare is only $2 per person.
All NassauTRANSIT operators and vehicles, including the Island Hopper, are credentialed to federal and state requirements and are wheelchair accessible. For more information, contact NassauTRANSIT at 904-261-0700.
