City Manager Dale Martin announced that the Fernandina Beach Municipal Golf Course, which today ended its golf course management agreement with Indigo Golf Partners (formerly Billy Casper Golf), will be under the direction of Indigo’s former management team. Mr. Steve Murphy, Kirsty Benjamin, and David Younger will serve on an interim basis to “complete staffing necessary to operate the Golf Course and Top Toptracer.”
And if this management team is the reason why the course has fallen into its current state, why is there an expectation for things to change? Maybe it wasn’t the personnel after all, but the lack of resources given to them to properly maintain the course.
