The Cultural Council and Florida State College at Jacksonville invite you to join us on Thursday, March 29 for a one-night-only engagement with Mr. Floyd Norman, Disney’s FIRST African-American animator.  This is Mr. Norman’s only speaking engagement scheduled for the Southeast.  Mr. Norman will speak as the next installment of the 2018 VyStar International Artist Lecture Series.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Norman has worked as an animator and writer on iconic projects such as “The Hunchback of Notre Dame,” “Mulan,” “Monsters, Inc.,” “Toy Story 2,” “Snorks,” “The Smurfs” (television series), “Alvin & the Chipmunks” (television series), “Robin Hood” (the animated movie), “The Jungle Book” (the animated movie), “The Sword in the Stone” (the animated movie), “101 Dalmatians” (the animated movie), and “Sleeping Beauty.”

Tickets are on sale now.  We have 400 seats to fill so PLEASE help spread the word by forwarding this mailer to others whom you think may be interested in or benefit from this event.  We want to show Mr. Norman that Jacksonville appreciates his contributions to the arts and the role he played in advancing diversity, inclusion, and representation.
