During its April 5, 2016 Regular Meeting, Fernandina Beach City Commissioners (FBCC) formally and unanimously adopted goals which they identified and prioritized during their January 12, 2016 planning session. These goals will form the basis of budget development for FY 2016-17 beginning with discussions next month.

The proposed goals for one year, three years and beyond three years were developed by all five commissioners under the guidance of facilitator Brian Teeple of the Northeast Florida Regional Council. City Manager Dale Martin and his department heads have worked to develop metrics for the goals, so that commissioners can determine when a goal has been met. Departments have also developed internal goals that will mesh with the commission goals and impact upcoming budget deliberations.

The adopted goals are listed below. For the complete report, including the departmental goals, visit the city’s website (www.fbfl.us), and proceed to the Document Center.
