After a rigorous two and a half year process, the Amelia Island Plantation Foundation is pleased to announce that Audubon International has notified us that Amelia Island Plantation will become the 11th community in the US, and the 3rd in Florida, to be certified as an Audubon Sustainable Community.
Since this Holiday Campaign will be our only fund raising appeal this year, the AIPF’s goal is to receive enough donations by December 31 to plant 60 additional trees during the AIPCA’s 2021 tree replenishment efforts. For some perspective, last year’s Holiday Campaign enabled us to plant 45 additional trees in 2020, so please help us get to 60 this time.
In order to fund those 60 additional trees, the AIPF will allocate 50% of all donations made before December 31 to next year’s tree replenishment efforts. For each $500 you donate before the end of this year, the AIPF plant a large native tree in your honor. In addition, once planted, we will notify you of the species and its location, and will recognize you & your tree(s) on the large video screen in the Oaks Lobby.
Donations to the Amelia Island Plantation Foundation can be made by credit card at www.aipfoundation.net. Checks can be mailed to the AIP Foundation, 5542 First Coast Highway-Suite 400, Amelia Island FL, 32034. For donations of stock or to establish a long term charitable trust, please contact Bob Schmonsees directly at 904-310-6342 or at [email protected]
The Board of the Amelia Island Plantation Foundation wishes you and your family a healthy and happy holiday season, and thanks you in advance for your generous support.
The Amelia Island Plantation Foundation is an independent 501(c) (3) tax exempt organization that implements environmental programs that benefit residents and visitors to Amelia Island Plantation. The AIPF’s Federal EID is 46-4296406, and all donations to the Amelia Island Plantation Foundation are tax-deductible.
Thank you to Bob and the Plantation Foundation! Both the protection of bird habitat and their efforts to maintain a healthy tree canopy are commendable and important for all of us on the island. We should do everything we can to pursue these goals for the entire island.
Congratulations on the achievement and recognition for your program and tree replenishment!
