Genece Minshew
Candidate City Commission – Group 2
Press Release
May 14, 2020

Genece Minshew has announced she is moving her candidacy for the Fernandina Beach City Commission, Group 1 to Group 2, in the 2020 General Election.

“My goal is to win a seat on the City Commission so that I can bring my many years of business experience and community activism to the table. I am moving seats so that I have the best chance to win. Now that we are faced with long term economic instability, it is even more critical to have someone on the City Commission with crisis management, budgetary and problem-solving skills.” said Minshew.

“Public service is about helping people in their everyday lives and I am ready to make that commitment to the citizens of Fernandina Beach as the Group 2 Commissioner.” said Minshew.

The five seats on the City Commission are separated into groups, yet voting for each seat is city wide.
