U. S. Coast Guard Auxiliary partners with U S Coast Guard to provide “Life Vest Loaner Kiosk”

On Friday, 26 May at 1:00 pm, the US Coast Guard Auxiliary and US Coast Guard will be opening its first Life Vest Loaner Kiosk at DD Bartel ramp in Fernandina Beach, FL. This Kiosk is for Boaters using the ramp that forgot or need Life Vest for their boating pleasure. These Life Vest are available ‘free’ to the boating public to use as necessary and then return to the Kiosk when finished.

This is strictly a volunteer loan and return life vest program sponsored by the US Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 14-1 in Fernandina Beach, FL. All Boater are required to have a life vest on board for every person. This kiosk will provide an avenue to get a Life Vest if a boater does not have enough on board. Adult and Child Life vest will be provided. As of now, the Kiosk will be open 24/7 for usage as needed.
