The Queen of Hearts will bring a high spirited, free-wheeling approach to performing at the Take Stock in Children annual event, “Light Up a Life Gala” on Thursday, March 22, at the Ritz Carlton-Amelia Island, from 6:30 to 9:30 pm. With elements of pop, blues, country & bluegrass all rolled into one the Queen of Hearts use their beautiful four-part harmonies, to provide an evening of original music that’s soulful and rootsy, with an irresistible blend of humor, warmth, charm and talent. One highlight of the evening will be the performance of the group’s original song dedicated to Take Stock in Children, “Undiscovered Jewel”.

For 21 years Take Stock in Children has provided scholarships, mentors and hope to more than 550 academically promising low-income Nassau County students. Each year about 30 7th and 8th grade students are accepted into the program and a full four-year tuition scholarship is purchased in anticipation of the student’s high school graduation.
For the next school year 20 scholarships have been funded so far for the more than 30 qualifying students in Nassau County.
